A 28-day practice for men

Be in the room, not in your head.

Lento is a private, five-minutes-a-day program for men whose mind turns into a critic at the worst moment: worrying about your erection, rushing, or watching yourself instead of feeling anything. Short exercises on your phone, plus the words to say to a partner.

The first three days are free. No card, no password. Just your email.

In for four, out for six. Try three rounds, right now. That is the kind of thing you will practice.

Sound familiar?

That is a loop, not a flaw in you. Your mind reads intimacy as a test, your body gets the memo, and the thing you feared gets easier to find. Both halves of the loop, attention and nervous system, respond to practice. Lento is that practice, in small daily doses.

What a day in Lento looks like

No videos to sit through and no course to binge. Every day is one short page in your browser, in three parts.

  1. Read (about a minute).A plain-spoken explanation of what is going on in your head and body, with no jargon and no shame.
  2. Practice (two to three minutes). One small exercise you can do on the couch, in the car, or in the shower.
  3. Check in (30 seconds).Rate how you feel and add a note if you like. It is saved on your phone, so you can see your own progress over the weeks.

Each day opens the next one, so the pace stays gentle and nothing piles up.

Your four weeks

Week 1 · Land

Calm the body first

Slow breathing, mapping where you hold tension, and the quiet saboteurs: sleep, caffeine, alcohol, movement.

Week 2 · Notice

See the loop

Catch the inner reviewer, draw your own anxiety loop, treat thoughts as weather, and question the standards you learned from screens.

Week 3 · Soften

Change the pace

Arousal as a dial, not a switch. Sensation over outcome, slowing down, a relaxed belly and pelvic floor, and what to do when your body says not tonight.

Week 4 · Share

Bring it to the bedroom

Say the true thing, scripts for talking to a partner, a three-minute pre-intimacy routine, low-pressure evenings, and handling setbacks kindly.

Tools you keep in your pocket

A breath pacer

A slow, guided circle for the car, the couch, or the bathroom before a date.

A pre-intimacy routine

Four steps, three minutes: land, name it, soften, share. Rehearse it alone first, then bring it to the evening.

Words for the moment

Short scripts for telling a partner you are nervous, asking to slow down, or changing course kindly. For example:

“I am a little nervous, and I am glad to be here with you.”

“Let's slow down. Come here.”

Who it is for, and who it is not

It is for you if

  • Your mind takes over in moments you want to be present.
  • You want something private you can do alone, at your own pace.
  • You are open to practising a little each day.

It is not

  • Therapy, or medical treatment.
  • A quick fix or a performance hack.
  • A substitute for a doctor, if something physical is worrying you.

Men of any orientation, with a partner or without one. Lento is educational. If difficulties persist, or started suddenly, please see a doctor. Day 28 covers how to tell.

Questions

Is this therapy?

No. Lento is an educational program. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it does not replace a doctor or a therapist. If difficulties persist, we encourage you to see one.

Is it private and discreet?

Yes. We store your email address and your plan status. Your check-ins and notes stay on your own device. We never sell or share your data. Emails come from "Lento" with plain subject lines. The privacy page has the details.

How soon will I notice a difference?

It varies from person to person. Lento is built around small daily practice, so the 28 days are there to let new habits settle. It is not a quick fix, and we do not promise outcomes.

Do I need a partner?

No. Most of the program is something you do alone. Week 4 adds tools for talking with a partner, and you can use them whenever the time is right.

How often will you email me?

Only for sign-in links, unless you choose to receive one gentle daily nudge. You can switch it off at any time with one tap.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the Account tab. Your access continues until the end of the period you paid for. The free days stay free.

Prefer to talk to a person?

Lento comes from Trevor James, a touch and intimacy therapist and coach in Hollywood, Los Angeles, after eight years of working with men on touch, intimacy, and sex. If you would like one-to-one support, book a free Clarity Call.
